In April 2022 we began a new journey in the town of Victoria West, with local entrepreneurs who were selected as beneficiaries of a 12 Month Enterprise4Change: Mentoring programme, kindly sponsored by Noblesfontein Wind Farm, which focuses on mentoring entrepreneurs and supporting their small business development.
Meet the promising entrepreneurs currently being mentored:
- Mietjie de Bruyn: Karoo Tuis Catering and B&B
- Lena Steenkamp: Sonstraaltjie Daycare
- Janine Abrahams: JJ’S Fruit & Veg Sales
- Elvin Botha: Javon Trading & Enterprises
- Charlie Tellis: DCT-Training
- Bongiwe Horne: Bongi’s Beauty Bar
- Fraundene Jonkers: Fraundene Enterprises
The support they are receiving equips entrepreneurs by providing small business mentorship, business skills support, guided asset purchases, and access to business support services.
They are an extremely committed group, dedicated to working hard to make a success of their enterprises, to benefit their families and their community. We are excited to share their progress and not surprised to see how quickly they have grown, from business start-ups to operating their own viable small businesses!
Lizelle Coombs, who is heading up their mentoring programme, has seen first hand how these local entrepreneurs and each of their businesses are growing from strength to strength. The monthly Hive Mind and personal mentoring sessions, alongside business administration support and guidance is really making a difference in the way they manage their ventures. This, combined with the acquisition of income generating assets is already helping them on their way toward long-term business sustainability. We are extremely proud of each one of them!
The Angels team facilitators are also working together with Shemeem Daniels, the Noblesfontein Wind Farm Community Liason Officer, who has proved invaluable as our point of contact in the community. Thank you to Noblesfontein Wind Farm for your support and contribution to Small and Medium Enterprise (SMME) development in the town of Victoria West that has made this opportunity possible. You have earned your wings!

The Angels Resource Centres Enterprise4Change programme supports entrepreneurs across industry sectors, to understand the feasibility of the business within their own community. It enhances their business skills, knowledge and experience and teaches them how to identify opportunities that will ensure the best chance of success for their business ventures, for themselves. Guided asset spending, combined with the skills gained, supports growth, creates jobs, builds confidence and encourages long-term business sustainability.
