REISA Young Women in Business Programme 2022
50 young women in business were welcomed to this year’s Renewable Energy Investments South Africa (REISA) Women4Change – Women in Business Programme that took place from the 3rd to 5th August 2022.
This free, three day event was hosted at the most wonderful venue, the Namakwari Lodge in Kathu, Northern Cape. An appropriately beautiful venue – for the beautiful Women in Business of Kathu! The ladies attending got to enjoy wonderful networking and mentoring opportunities as well as listening to motivational speakers and being inspired by their peers. Hands-on support, business skill training and practical equipping opportunities made this an event not to be missed! Places were limited and sought after, proving just how important this opportunity was to the participants and this community!
The highlights were our guest speakers on each day:
- Day 1 – started with the Lean Canvas workshop and a presentation from the South African Revenue Services (SARS) Northern Cape Office. Thanks ladies, for your time and input, explaining business compliance and informing and encouraging all the women attending!
- DAY 2 – the Business Planning Workshop focus was on setting business goals and understanding the importance of planning with our motivational speaker hailing from Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) and offering a wealth of relevant information and inspiration to our participants.
- Day 3 – was full of encouragement and motivation, as we heard from Precious Kaelo of REISA, who shared her story and inspired the ladies to reach for their dreams! Great food for thought – and did anyone mention the amazing spread at the celebration luncheon!

This Women4Change Women in Business event was facilitated by Angels Resource Centres in collaboration with Lead Academy. Each participant also received a goodie bag including some spoils and business service vouchers from Business e-Zone. The programme was made possible by Renewable Energy Investments South Africa (REISA) – an EIMS Africa Renewable Energy Project.
