Community Development in South Africa
When planning programmes in a community, we use a variety of methodologies, depending on the envisaged outcomes for a programme:

1. The Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach is an effective way to work with what is already available in a community, and build it into impactful implementations.

2. Community Needs Assessments (CNA) ensure that the needs of the community are taken into account. This consists of surveys we conduct to gather as much information as possible in an identified community.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation Plans are created before we embark on implementations. It gives us a baseline to work from, ensuring that we achieve desired outcomes as well as manage expectations and risks.

4. Ongoing Social Anthropological research increases our knowledge and understanding of rural communities and the challenges and opportunities that lie within social interaction, communication and integration approaches.
